Thank you for registering as a vendor with the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) Purchasing Department.  This Memorandum of Agreement sets forth the terms that have been established by LSUHSC-NO to govern all vendor registration and notification activities made between your firm and the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at New Orleans Purchasing Department.  For purposes of this Agreement, vendor registration and notification activities are defined to include electronic request for quotations, invitation for bids, request for proposals, or other electronic procurement information, instruments and notices electronically transmitted, received or posted using BIDS in lieu of or in addition to creating one or more paper documents.

 At this time LSUHSC-NO intends to use the system solely as a vendor registration tool.  LSUHSC-NO will query the vendor database when selecting bidders to participate in our solicitations.  The query will be guided by commodity code. Therefore it is of the utmost importance that you accurately report commodity codes for the services and products that your organization is capable of providing.  Your organization will continue to receive notifications of bid opportunities as it has in the past.  LSUHSC-NO will still post bids that reach a certain dollar threshold on the Louisiana Procurement and Contract Network (LaPac) and issue solicitations via fax as appropriate.

 In the future, LSUHSC-NO may decide to utilize other functionality such as sending RFQ notifications and invitations to bid electronically via the NovusVendor system, so it is important to list accurate e-mail addresses.

By submitting this electronic vendor registration, you certify and warrant to LSUHSC-NO that you are authorized to: (i) register as a BIDS supplier; (ii) file all of the information requested in this registration process; and (iii) enter into this Agreement.  By submitting this electronic vendor registration, you agree that:

1.       The system is self-maintained, and you are responsible for updating your registration information.

2.       You shall use the BIDS vendor registration update functionality to update your registration information a minimum of once every calendar year.  Information not validated may be considered inactive and removed from the BIDS by LSUHSC-NO Purchasing Division .

3.       You hereby warrant that the information provided by you through BIDS is accurate and current, even if different information is or has been available to or received by LSU personnel through other means than the BIDS registration.

4.       Should LSUHSC-NO decide to post bids using the NovusVendor interface, all bid notifications will be  effective upon posting to the BIDS Site or upon issuance of a notification e-mail.  LSUHSC-NO is not responsible for undeliverable e-mail.

5.       All information submitted via BIDS is subject to the mandates of LSUHSC-NO.  LSUHSC-NO will protect the information to the extent provided by law.

No changes in terms and conditions of this Agreement shall be effective unless adopted by LSUHSC-NO Purchasing Division and incorporated into this web page.  Any such changes shall be effective as to particular vendors only after they have received notice and approval of the change from LSUHSC-NO Purchasing Division.

This Agreement shall remain in effect for as long as you are registered as a BIDS supplier.  Your registration may be canceled if you are found to be in violation of any terms & conditions established by LSUHSC-NO.
